Ukraine : Zelensky presse l’Otan de fournir des armes sans plus tarder

Volodymyr Zelensky urges NATO to quickly deliver weapons to Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on NATO to urgently provide weapons to Ukraine as it faces increasing pressure from Russia. The Alliance has already agreed to supply anti-aircraft defense systems following a deadly Russian attack that killed 18 people in Chernihiv.

Zelensky emphasized the importance of timely decisions and requested additional Patriot anti-aircraft systems to counter Russian threats in the air. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced an agreement to deliver more anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine after a meeting with the Ukrainian president.

The G7 foreign ministers have also committed to enhancing Ukraine’s anti-aircraft defense capabilities after a meeting in Italy. Ukraine has been struggling with ammunition shortages and the inability to protect its cities and infrastructure from Russian attacks.

Additionally, Russian airstrikes in Dnipropetrovsk have caused casualties, with the public railway company Ukrzaliznytsia reporting damage to its facilities. Despite these challenges, Ukraine’s air force claimed to have successfully destroyed a long-range strategic bomber belonging to the Russian military.
